Toystrainsandotheroldstuff LLC is proud to present a fantastic collection of prewar American Flyer trains from the collection of W. Kemper Lease. Highlights will be noted soon but the collection consists of standard and O gauge sets, accessories and individual locomotives and cars.
Also included will be select Lionel prewar standard and O gauge trains and accessories to include some sets, individual cars and accessories, mostly boxed examples.

Boxed American Flyer wide gauge 1432 Sesqi-centennial Special, a nice early set from 1925 with a green 4000 NYC electric locomotive plus green lithographed 4040 mail car that is missing the handles from two of the doors with pickup in the door and five mail bags, one damaged, plus 4041 Pullman car. Trains grade C6, C6 and C7 - in order of mention. The set box is a nice complete example with complete label but has writing in marker on the top of the lid, back and one side. The inner boxes also have writing on them and they are otherwise in very good to excellent condition.

Set consists of a green C6+ 4644 box cab electric locomotive that has been rewheeled plus a fatigued headlight, green lithographed C6+ 4151 Eagle Pullman and 4152 Eagle observation cars with orange roofs. The set box is split on all four corners and is barely holding together. The inner boxes include a 4644 with a split corner and two nice correct boxes for the passenger cars.

Set consists of 4644 box cab electric locomotive with odd maroon sand domes, rewheeled, and fatigued headlight, C7 green lithographed 4151 Eagle car with green roof and C7 green lithographed 4152 Pleasant View observation car, curve and straight track, operating booklet and envelope with track connector and track locks. The original box is very nice and comes with a near perfect 4644 box 4151 and 4152 boxes. the 4152 box is strange in that it is made from a box the size that would have been used for a 4010 tank car. Circa 1928-31 WE MAILED IT TO DAVE CORBETT SHOPS TO BE REWHEELED 2 WEEKS AGO AND IT STILL HAS NOT ARRIVED. ONCE DAVE RECEIVES IT, HE WILL REPAIR IT AND IT WILL BE AT THE LIVE AUCTION. American Flyer wide gauge 4692 steam locomotive with 4693 Vanderbilt tender with original box. The locomotive is C6 and has a warped running board on one side at the very front of the boiler, triangle valve gear, a brass plate under the cab window, bell, firebox light, freely turning wheels, brass cap over the headlight and original drawbar pin. The 4693 tender is C6+ and is a perfect casting with no warpage at all, brass plates on both sides with technical data and fixed trucks. The 4692 original box is in superb condition but has none of the original inserts. Circa 1931-35

The combo car is C5-6, Pullman car is C7- and observation car is C6. They has trusses, not air tanks and each window has a white sash at the top of the window. The truck frames are chrome and in nice shape. The original box is missing one end and is unmarked. Circa 1933

Very likely a 7038 set but the box is in five pieces and the 7038 stamp is nowhere to be found but the box has numerous remnants of Montgomery Wards tape that notes Thinks first of Wards, Wards pays the freight. The Set consists of C7 + maroon 4000 NYC style electric locomotive, red lithographed C7 4040 baggage, C7- 4041 Pullman and C7- 4042 observation car. The set box lid needs restored and the box bottom has numerous tape repairs. The locomotive box lid is split on all four corners, the passenger car boxes are good to very good. Circa 1928

Boxed American Flyer wide gauge 1460 Pioneer steam freight set. Set consists of 4694 Ives casting steam locomotive with a repaired headlight pedestal, a screw was added to the cab roof to incorporate a light, the pilot assembly is incorrect from repairs, the wheels are frozen from swelling to touch the shell, 4694 Vanderbilt tender with red brass plates that has been repainted, it also has a very tight hairline crack going from the frame at the front left edge all the way into the inside. I believe that the repaint job helped to slow down or stop the process of fatigue but I cannot be certain, C6+ green 4017 sand car, C7 4018 box car and C7 4021 caboose. The set box is nice with great labels but has two split corners that were repaired at some point and poor to good component boxes. Circa 1929-30

The locomotive has great paint but is missing almost all of the teal stripe on both sides, has a bell ringer, firebox light, triangle valve gear and very odd marker lights that are black, never painted. The wheels on the leading truck show fatigue and will need to be replaced and the drawbar pin is missing, C6. Comes with a good original box with very legible stamp. The 4671 tender has a matching finish with some scratching, C7.

The original boxes are all matching and in very good to excellent and correctly marked for the three passenger cars.

Gorgeous prewar Boucher 2222 steam locomotive and Pennsylvania tender. Highly desirable and much sought after, this Boucher steam locomotive is an exact replica of a Pacific class 4-6-0 locomotive and 8 wheel Pennsylvania tender that was designed for fast freight and passenger service. The locomotive features nickel plated straight valve gear, an extra powerful double field motor, reversing switch on front of chassis and operational headlight illumination. This example is 100% complete and fully functional with all original parts and wiring. It is a stellar example in collector caliber condition but does have a small paint touch up on the cab roof overhang and part of one side of the cab, The locomotive and tender weight 10 lbs and measure 28 inches long and retailed at $39.50 in 1929 during the Great Depression.

This is a clean set of cars that display very nicely but does have all of the issues as noted. The 414 Spec Green original box is in good condition and missing all but one of the outer end flaps but all of the inner flaps are intact.

Lionel 367E 385E steam passenger set with Terra Cotta 1766 Pullman with a missing coupler, 1767 baggage and 1768 observation cars in original boxes. The locomotive is gunmetal with all nickel trim, it has been rewheeled and the wheels turn freely, the drawbar pin is missing and it is very clean overall with original rolled flags. The 385W tender has a fantastic casting with no warpage and nice copper plates on both sides. The sides display wonderfully and the roofs are very nice but there is a small dent in the observation car roof, however but the ends have numerous scratches and dents from heavy run time. Locomotive and tender are C6 and C7 respectively, the cars are C6- due to the wear on the ends. The original boxes are all in excellent condition with one sealed end on each of the passenger cars and all flaps intact.

Original Lionel Craft Model MB wind-up boat in original box with stand. The boat is extremely nice and clean, would be a great example to restore. Needs all of the cleats, the light housing and the flag. It winds up and runs perfectly. The original figures are in good to very good condition with wear to their faces. The original box is complete with the exception of the better part of the label. Comes with the original stand that is C7 with a complete decal, two piece original instruction sheet that has some writing on it, one partial original cleat and the original key.
